Dinner in Tuscany

Natalie and Tony wanted to bring the rolling hills of Tuscany into their home. Using their vision Rudy painted a scene incorporating inspiration he brought back from his travels through the hills around Florence. He used stone and iron work to frame an inspired scene of a traditional villa on a distant hill surrounded by iconic Italian Cypress. You can almost smell truffles and chianti wafting over the hills.

When I see this mural, it reminds me of my first trip to Italy.

–Natalie Swallow

Rudy visited the Swallow’s home to survey the furniture and lighting that filled the room. The Swallow’s shared some of the ideas they had and some pictures Natalie had taken in Italy. Using this as inspiration Rudy prepared a couple of initial sketches.

With all of the initial prep work completed, Rudy scheduled a convenient time to come and complete the mural. It took only a short afternoon and some simple shifting of the dining room furniture and the Swallow’s had a little taste of Italy in their dining room.

The Swallows are extremely happy with their new mural and are already planning on adding additional murals throughout their new home.
